BULL'S EYE - Artist in residence program at Rui Soares Costa's studio

Where
Complexo Industrial do Olho de Boi

2800-205 Almada

Portugal

15/20 minutes from Lisbon's city center (Cais do Sodré) by ferry plus bike or walk along the river

What
I'm offering  a river view working space at my studio for a specific period of time (usually between a week and a couple of months), free of charge, to promote dissemination and interchange of knowledge and artistic practices.

The  room has 11 m2 (it is equipped with a table, chair and lamp) and has access to a shared bathroom and a small kitchenette.

For Whom
Anyone actively working in visual or sound arts, broadly speaking.

As I will be sharing my own working space, I am looking for easy going people. Someone  who is up for paying his/her own traveling and living expenses to have a free working space in beautiful and sunny Lisbon.

No Money Policy

The room is offered free of charge, including water, electricity, monthly cleaning and a bike.

I won't be able to support you in any other form, including accommodation and traveling expenses. No money is available to support specific projects. All this will have to be covered by yourself.

Requirements
All residents will have to write a report before the end of the residence. The goal is two folded, to have an archive of past residences and to help improve the residence program.

Submission
An email with internet links for an easy and overall understanding of your work. Please detail a specific project, concept, research idea, or a plan for the residence with an abstract and relevant documentation (audio, video, photo). Include a short bio and cv. Feel free to include anything else you believe it's relevant.

For heavy information, please use a service like yousendit.

When to submit
Submissions are always open.

How does it work
I will be sending a confirmation email  to all submissions acknowledging the submission was successfully received. Additionally,  submissions selected for the residence program will receive an invitation detailing the process from that moment onwards.
